Sanitary Implementation Initiative
SII is a consortium of seven black-owned businesses in South Africa with a common purpose.
The Initiative is encouraged by the deteriorating menstruation and hygiene conditions in impoverished communities.
The primary objective is to empower young women and emphasize the significance of eradicating the stigma associated with menstruation.
Girls and young women should be able to continue to attend school, feel confident in their womanhood during their monthly cycle, and confidently advance in life.
To instil a sense of self-assurance in young women by providing education and eliminating the discomfort caused by period poverty!
Donations can be made directly through Makro Centurion from as little as R7.75 for a packet of sanitary pads.
